New York, NY-February 26, 2007: JAMROCK Magazine,
in association with the Netlinkz Group Inc.,
Showcase Entertainment, and NEOFAM is
presenting the official press reception and album
release party for In
the Streets of Africa, the latest
release by renown Roots Reggae crooner Richie Spice,
on Thursday, March 1st at Fusion in New York City.
Released on February 20th,
In the Streets of Africa features an exclusive
DVD with Richie Spice interviews, music videos and
a live acoustic performance filmed in the streets
of Kingston. With Spice's appealing brand of roots
reggae, In the Streets of Africa is characterized
by his signature smooth and impassioned vocals on
his current romantic boom tune "Brown Skin",
militantly rebellious delivery on "Open the
Door", and mystical aura demonstrated on
"Motherland Calling". Guided by the principles
of his Rastafarian way of life, Spice's lyrics rail
against injustices and the plight of the oppressed,
implore assistance for the youth, and extend maximum
love and respect for the ladies.
"JAMROCK Magazine strives to bring our readers
the very best in Caribbean culture, lifestyle and
entertainment. We are honored to help present the
newest album from one of reggae music's shining stars,
Richie Spice," states JAMROCK Managing Director
Rhona Fox. "Lyrically touching social issues
affecting our people, Spice is in keeping with our
vision - One Music, One Culture, One Love."
