Fisrt Baby born at May Pen Hospital
Angella Chin
(Jan-08-2009)

Baby girl, Renesia Renay Graham made her entrance into the world the first day of the new year at 1:58 am at the May Pen Hospital. Her mom, Ms. Luckeisha Francis thanked and hugged the attending nurse, Patricia Edwards for being there at the delivery as she said, "I gave her so much trouble and work".

Wynlee Distributors Ltd.'s representatives Ms.Claudia Morgan and Mr. Valentine Cameron were on hand to extend congratulations and a gift package to the proud and beaming mom whose baby was the first to be delivered that day. The 3.2 kg toddler appeared unaware of the activities around her as pictures were taken to mark the occasion.  Ms Cameron said that her company was also making similar presentations at four other hospitals namely Victoria Jubilee, UWI, Spanish Town and St. Ann's Bay.

Later Ms. Halcyone Burke Green- Williams, Lasco 's Product Representative also gave both mom and the attending nurse gift packages which included Lasco baby and food products. Mrs. Burke Green- Williams, herself a registered nurse, said that Lasco has been playing an important part in community health. Other Lasco representatives, she said, were also gifting first borns for the New Year at Percy Junor, Mandeville, Falmouth, Spanish Town and Princess Margaret Hospitals on the same day.

Sister Juliet Mason, the senior nurse on duty at the time of the gift presentation, jokingly commented that baby Renesia' s mom was indeed lucky alluding to the fact that she was aptly named Luckeisha. Both mom and baby are doing just fine.
