NHT ANNOUNCES MORTGAGE LOAN APPLICATION RESULTS FOR LONGVILLE PHASE 3

The NHT thanks contributors who expressed interest in buying solutions in the recently advertised Longville Park Housing Scheme and is now pleased to publish the names of persons short-listed to be interviewed for loans to buy those solutions. Please note, this is a selection for interviews only and is not a guarantee of a loan.

168 Special subsidies for low income contributors

To facilitate homeownership especially among low income contributors, 41 persons have been short-listed to buy lots priced at $1.5 million.  They will also be eligible for a subsidy of up to $2 million to assist with house construction provided that such construction takes place within 2 years of purchasing the lot. This is the first time that such a subsidy offer is being made.

This is being organised through the NHT’s Social Development Department (SDD). The SDD is also helping to develop communities through a number of other activities across the island, which include: income generation projects;  a compliance fair; Music for Social Transformation; and Parish Schemes Associations (PSA) initiatives. Pre-occupancy training for new scheme residents also took place for the period.
